My name is Arunima Vasudev, and I’m super excited to be one of your co-directors for MUNUM XL. I’ve been involved in MUN since middle school and have staffed MUNUM for the past 3 years. I am a junior in the College of Engineering here at the University of Michigan, studying Computer Science, Business and Data Science. Outside of MUNUM, I am on a NASA spacecraft instrumentation research team where I work with machine learning models to remove unwanted noise from solar radio bursts. I am also a part of the Society of Women Engineers, VIPs, Girls and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (GEECS), and URB Consulting. In my free time, I like to scrapbook, watch a good mystery movie, listen to music, and watch F1. I hope that all of you are as excited to be a part of this committee as I am. Hi all! This is one of your co-directors, Mechelle, speaking! I am so excited for the opportunity to help shape your 26-27 MUNUM experience this year. I am a BBA sophomore concentrating on international entertainment business technology, while concurrently working towards the Human Centered-AI minor. This will be my 6th year involved in MUN, and my fourth year as a staffer. Nevertheless, I love adventures- whether it be jumping off the Strat in Vegas, hiking up ice in Vancouver, or teaching kids in Taiwan, I love it all. Currently, I work for the Michigan recreation rock climbing team, as well as the Ross social media team! If you have any questions, I’d truly love to help; just let me know! I leave you with a quote: “Every waking second we make the decision to keep doing or stop doing something, and thus we decide whether we want to build our life full of regret, or full of satisfaction”.
Hello! My name is Sohan Amin, and I am delighted to be your assistant director for [committee name]! I am a senior from Canton, Michigan, studying Biochemistry on the pre-med track with a minor in linguistics. I have been staffing MUNUM for 3 years and have also participated in Model UN and attended MUNUM specifically all 4 years of high school. Outside of MUNUM, I work as a patient care assistant, am part of a student-led dance society, and love to volunteer at the Detroit Zoo. In my spare time, I love to play video games, crochet, hike, and cook new recipes. Model UN for me has always been a fun opportunity to collaborate, debate, and explore my passions for learning about history and the world around me, and I hope that this committee can do the same for you. I am so excited to see how you work with each other to solve the issues at hand!
